UMUC Asia Commencement - Okinawa

Welcome to the UMUC Asia 2018 Commencement in Okinawa - April 14, 2018


Each year UMUC Asia celebrates the accomplishments of our graduates and graduate candidates with four commencement ceremonies in the spring. This year's Okinawa ceremony will be held at the Yomitan Cultural and Community Center at 2:00pm on April 14, 2018.

Eligibility

Students who have graduated in the Summer, Fall, or Winter (MBA only) of the previous year with an associate's degree or higher are automatically eligible for attending this year's commencement. An example of this would be students who graduated in Summer 2017, Fall 2017, or Winter 2017 (MBA only) are automatically invited to the Spring 2018 commencement ceremonies.

Students who are graduate candidates for the Spring 2018 Term (meaning they have applied for graduation in their MyUMUC by the February 15th deadline) are also eligible to participate in commencement. If your completion date does not fall within the aforementioned terms, please contact commencement-asia@umuc.eduRSVP e-mails will be sent to all eligible graduates and will include direct links to the RSVP pages. If you think that you are eligible for commencement but have not received an email from UMUC Asia inviting you to RSVP by March 1, 2018 please contact your local academic advisor or our commencement team.

You can order you commencement regalia through Oak Hall - Please order your regalia at least 3-4 weeks before your ceremony to allow time for shipping. If you would like to order commencement invitations, you can order official UMUC Asia invitations at: https://www.cbgrad.com/. When you enter the ordering portal, you'll see that students need to select "state," "school," and “month” of ceremony to get started. Please choose "Maryland" as the state, "University of Maryland University College Asia" as the school and "May" as the month of the ceremony. Then click on "Get Started."

Ceremony Location:

In an effort to provide the best commencement possible for our students in Okinawa, this year's ceremony and the congratulatory graduate reception will be held at the Yomitan Cultural and Community Center. Please visit the following link in order to RSVP for the Okinawa ceremony: RSVP here.

Photo Order form:

Due to limited access to an internet ready device, the photographer will be unable to take credit cards at the time the photos are taken, but please feel free to prepay for your photos through PayPal (paypal.me/schoolpix). Students will also have the option to bring cash or pay via PayPal (on their smart phone/tablet) on the day of the ceremony. For more information on pricing, please see the order form below.
