Prof. Michael Harrison received his B.A. in international relations from the College of William and Mary and his M.S. in management from UMUC. Additionally, he is pursuing his D.B.A. from UMUC. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Marketing for UMUC Asia and works in marketing and management consulting as well.

PAUL HARTMANN

Dr. Hartmann earned his B.S. in Earth Science with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Connecticut State University. He then went on to the University of Rhode Island for a Ph.D. in Oceanography, specializing in organic geochemistry. His dissertation was on the sources, transport and fate of organic contaminants in estuarine sediments. For his postdoctoral research he studied possible chemical reasons for the decline of trout populations in Swiss rivers at the Swiss federal Institute for Environmental Science and Technology. He has taught geology and oceanography at Norwich University in Vermont and the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, and joined the UMUC Asian Division faculty in 2009, teaching in Korea.
