The Student Advisory Council provides an avenue for students to express their concerns about UMUC or their academic career. The council consists of 12 members, who are elected by their fellow students and who act in an advisory capacity to the University president, provost, deans, and other officials on behalf of all students.
Students who would like to see certain issues addressed or who have questions should contact their council representative by e-mail at stac@umuc.edu.
The University System of Maryland Student Council is one of four councils established during the restructuring
of higher education in Maryland in 1988 to provide advice to the Chancellor and the Board of Regents.
