Financial Aid: Scholarships
UMUC Asia Scholarships

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) offers a wide variety of opportunities to help you achieve your educational goals. Students who complete the scholarship application will be considered for all scholarships. Contact the Financial Aid Office at DSN 225-3680 or via e-mail for more information.

Some scholarship awards are made on the basis of academic performance and others on the basis of financial need. This Web site lists the requirements for each of the scholarship programs.

To be eligible, you must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and a degree-seeking student at UMUC. In addition, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA www.fafsa.ed.gov) and the UMUC Military/Civilian Untaxed Income Worksheet (PDF 168 KB). Unless otherwise stated, the minimum enrollment requirement during the award period is 3 credits. UMUC scholarships are generally awarded for the fall and/or spring semesters only.

Employees of UMUC and their dependents, as well as persons who receive remission of fees from other institutions, are not eligible to apply for UMUC institutional scholarships or to receive UMUC institutional grants.

If you receive a scholarship you must complete 100 percent of your coursework during each enrollment period. If you receive an award for the academic year (fall and spring) but do not complete 100 percent of the coursework during the fall semester, your award will be automatically canceled for the spring semester.

You may reapply for award consideration in the next academic year.

We wish you success in your pursuit of scholarship and grant assistance. Please let us know how we may assist you in reaching your goals.
