PAULETTE ERGUS
Director, Human Resources
Ms. Ergus holds a B.S. in Psychology, B.S. in Social Science, and a B.S. in Management Studies from University of Maryland University College (UMUC). Ms. Ergus received her M.S. in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma and is presently pursuing a second masters. She began working with UMUC Asia Division in 2000. She later pursued a teaching career with Central Texas College where she taught courses in Criminal Justice. In 2004 she relocated to Yokosuka Naval Base Japan where she continued serving as the UMUC Senior Field Representative. Prior to joining UMUC, she was a member of the Norfolk Police Department where she retired with honors. Ms. Ergus held the position of Field Representative Coordinator for Asia and the Pacific in October 2007 and assumed her current position as the Director of Human Resources in April 2008.

KARL EVANS

Mr. Evans joined UMUC as the DE Tycho Administrator in October 2007 after serving 20.5 years with the Air Force. He retired here in Japan in 2006. He graduated from Windsor Forest High School in Savannah Ga. and joined the National Guard shortly thereafter. While on active duty, he was an Emergency Medical Technician. After selected to tour with Tops in Blue in 1997, he decided to cross-train into the Air Force Band in 1999. As a piano/keyboardist, he also worked Logistics and Resource Management.
