Requirements for the Korean Studies Curriculum
Coursework for the Korean Studies curriculum includes the following:
  • Core courses (12 credits): Sequential KORN courses, numbered 111-112 and 114-115

  • Related area studies courses (12 credits): Any courses in the culture, history, language, literature, or government and politics of the area

  • Required computing course (3 credits): IFSM 201 or CMST 303

  • Elective (1 credit): Any courses related to interests and goals

Recommended Sequence
The following course sequence will fulfill all the requirements for the Associate of Arts degree in Korean Studies. Since some recommended courses fulfill more than one requirement, substituting courses for those listed may make it necessary to take additional courses to meet degree requirements. Students should consult an advisor whenever taking advantage of other options. Information on alternate courses (where allowable) to fulfill general education requirements (in communications, arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, biological and physical sciences, and mathematics) may be found on the GER page.
