Dr. Smith holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University. She received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Indiana State University. Her APA (American Psychological Association) accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship were completed at Virginia Tech in the Cook Counseling Center. Dr. Smith is currently licensed to practice psychology in the state of Hawaii and joined UMUC Asia in 2010.
